About the Role:
The Caceres Lab at Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa) is considering applications for a postdoctoral position working on Influenza virus and other RNA viruses or relevance for animals and humans.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic research program focused on understanding the pathogenesis of influenza and other RNA viruses and developing innovative strategies to prevent viral diseases. Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, the postdoctoral researcher will investigate viral-host interactions using a variety of molecular biology approaches and both ex vivo and in vivo model systems. The individual will also contribute to the evaluation of novel vaccine platforms by assessing their safety, immunogenicity, and protective efficacy against viral pathogens.

PhD Student Position in Molecular Virology & Vaccine Development

About the Role:
The Caceres Lab at Iowa State University is considering applications to fill a PhD student position. We are looking for a person interested in molecular virology, pathogenesis and development of novel vaccine approaches for Influenza A virus and other viruses relevant for animal and humans.
The ideal candidate should have experience in virology, molecular biology and cell culture. Experience working with ex vivo models at the Air-liquid interface and/or in vivo experiments with pigs is highly desirable.
